Annamia dubia sp. nov. with a description of a new family, Geminocystaceae fam. nov. (Cyanobacteria)

Our environmental DNA analysis identified Annamia-like operational taxonomic units (OTUs) from Lake Kasumigaura, Japan every summer season during the period June 2012-May 2015. A strain Kasumigaura that agreed with an OTU (NIES-4383) was established a cell-sorting machine. Based on differences in morphology and 16S rRNA sequences, new taxon is described: Annamia dubia Tuji, Yamaguchi et Niiyama sp. nov. A. produces microcystins also produced by toxica. phylogenetical reveals genus makes monophyletic clade genera Geminocystis, Geminobacterium, 'Cyanobacterium.' Although this agrees Cyanobacteriaceae KomĂĄrek al. (2014), family invalid based Cyanobacterium type species stanieri. We propose alternative name Geminocystaceae fam. Geminocystis.

A new species of Astragalus is described: Astragalus barnasariformis sp. nov., Maassoumi, F. Ghahrem. & Bagheri. It is endemic to Zanjan province in northwestern Iran.
